Focused training helps users to quickly realise the benefits of SmartTrade. We recommend that new users have 3 to 4 hours of training, which includes the initial setup of preferences.
Training can be provided either by SmartTrade remotely, using an internet meeting tool, or by one of our network of local partners. Most users prefer remote training because of the convenience and the fact that they are being trained by the experts.
Typically training is done over say a two week period, divided into sessions of about an hour each (It is easier to schedule this with remote training than with on-site training). The advantages of breaking the training into multiple sessions are:
- Users can work with SmartTrade between sessions and determine the specific areas that need to be addressed.
- Sessions can focus on different functional areas (job management, administration etc).
- An hour is about the maximum time for maintaining concentration.
- Many of our customers are too busy to be able to commit to longer periods.
We also recommend that users take a hour's training when a new version of SmartTrade is released, to cover new functionality and to allow the user to raise any issues that may have arisen since the last training session.
